This plugin will enable a Mail this item to a friend link. It’s a template plugin, not a skin plugin so you need to put the link to this plugin somewhere in your templates, not in your skin.

Steps to get this plugin working on your site:

1. Download the plugin
2. Unpack with ‘use directories’ enabled and upload all the files (3) to your server.
3. Within Nucleus, install the plugin
4. Goto plugin option and create the template to use for display
5. Modify the plugin option for ie mail, title, template (NOTE: At least you need to set template in the plugin option!!!)
6. Edit item template to add <%MailToAFriend%>, which insert the link to mail to a friend popup window
7. For email template, it can be changed from mailtoafriend/mailfriend.template
8. For email CSS decoration, it canbe changed from mailtoafriend/mailfriend.css

When a user clicks the link, a new window showing a form and the selected item are shown. The user can send HTML or an ASCII message. The fromEmail and toEmail are needed and an error is shown when these are not valid email addresses. The rest is optional.

There is an css file in mailtoafriend/ that can be edited for your needs, rule of thumb your contents class minus the positioning copying and pasting in this file will give the desired result.

The template create for this plugin should at least contain this in the item body:

• What should be the initial message to send?
• Which template should be used to display an item?
• Email title and text template %##BLOGNAME##% == blog name, %##TITLE##% == item title, %##URL##% == item URL
