NP_GlobalBlacklist

NP_GlobalBlackList is deprecated, the links and global blacklist don't work anymore and the admin area seems lost. Use NP_BlackList instead.

The GBL is currently a nucleus plugin that allows you to stay in sync with common banned keywords, client ip addresses and referal spam domains. All submitted keywords, domain names and IPs are reviewed by a global blacklist administrator before being globaly availible.

Installing

  1. Unzip the file and upload the contents to your plugin directory
  2. Install the plugin…–
  3. Goto the admin screen for the plugin and click the “Get the latest global blacklist” button.

How to use the plugin

These keywords and ip addresses are then matched against incoming referers, and incoming ip addresses to see if they are on the list. If they are, then that client is blocked from entering your site. With GBL you can easily add keywords, and IP addresses to your local ban list, and those keywords/ips that you add are automatically submitted to our global ban list. You can also fetch the global ban list, which will get the latest keywords and ips to add to your local ban list. Every item that is submitted to the GBL is viewed, and verified by one of our administrators. Comments text, author ip, and url are all filtered through the global blacklist as well.
