“I thought it would be cool to expand the mail to a friend option to include a mailing list plugin that would take a text file and send emails to everyone in that file if you specify that option in the 'item creation' phase. Might be a good option for those that are thinking of working on a 'Sticky' or 'Announcement' plugin.”
