Nucleus Coredev 340 and beyond

Some ideas to the Nucleus Roadmap for releases Nucleus 3.40 and higher

Version nummbers

The version number with thenth parts should be used for releases with new features and the numbers with hundreth should be used for bug fixes and security fixes:

3.40 new features
3.41 bug fixes and security fixes
3.42 bug fixes and security fixes
3.43 bug fixes and security fixes
3.50 new features
3.51 bug fixes and security fixes
3.52 bug fixes and security fixes

PHP versions

3.40 should be the last version that supports PHP 4. Because there are no more security updates for PHP 4 it is really unsecure to run a web application with PHP 4. I hope that with the beginning of the next year (2009) most web hosting companies switch to PHP 5 and stop using PHP 4. (kg)
