Here you can add and elaborate about plugins that should be written. Feel free to add (and please waste a few lines about what it should do)
Edit error and other messages for your implementation via the admin screen (at present hard coded in \nucleus\language\english.php and english-utf8.php)
Category post count - a little (#) next to the links for the categories, archives, today, next, prev etc, links that will tell you how many posts are in that section.
Current Reading - a skinvar which will present the cover image, the ISBN and some other details of the book + eventually a small annotation, short comment. Have a look at
WP-Amazon-Book where you can see a good example for WordPress
Custom Form - Totally customizable way to produce sendmail forms on the fly, in the body of a “page”. Possibly model after existing plugins for other
OS CMS‘s. Add on the ability to reference a page that can show the details of that specific form in readable view.
E-Commerce/Paid Subscription - Speaks for itself.
Shared Registration - This is more of a global plug in. Some type of plugin that would allow a designer to design user interactions between two different open source projects while using the same user information, sharing the registration/password/username table. For example, I run Nucleus as my front end, but want to charge a subscription for what I’m doing on Moodle, and I also want to handle trouble with OTRS. Instead of different usernames, they could share the same username and work on the same login.
Advanced Search Option - The default search option is a ‘miser’. It shows very little in search results. Can we have advanced search option that will show all results that appear partially/fully, singular/plural and so on from all blog entries, whether the item heading or details...! (be sure to check out
this thread)
Embed pictures/videos from external sites. For example, I want to embed a wmv into a blog post, but I can’t do it, whether from remote site or otherwise.
Image resizer - a plugin that resizer upload images to a predetermined width and height and if possible optimized image size so as to improve presentation and save on storage.
Favourite Items - A plugin that would allow you to mark certain posts as favourites. You would then be able to add a favourites section to the sidebar which would display the name of and link to the latest n favourites.
Expiring Entries - A plugin so you can set an expiration date and your entrie will be removed from your site automatically on that date.
Contactform - a plugin that very easily puts a contactform on your blog in which you can choose which author on the site you want to send a message to.
Sitemap - a plugin that shows a collapsable navigational menu tree of categories and items. Should have the ability to show or not show categories of your choice. A choice of Navigational menus please! A must for Content Management applications.
ItemsPerPage - a plugin that shows a certain number of items per page and displays Next and Previous page at the bottom. My categories with dozens of items spews down the page..not very elegant.
FastPost - a plugin that allows for one-click posting of new items for logged-in blog owners without going to the admin area; just a simple pop-up similar to the edit window.
BixTex to Nucleus - i need a Plug in that automatically renders
BibTex-Files into a Weblog or a Category in a weblog. The idea is, to always have a recent list of publications online. At a researchers place, BibTex is the standartformat for keeping publications organized and we want to go into a further direction of automating research and web.

Private content - a plugin which will allow a logged in user to see private items posted by other users for person to person activities.
PhotoGallery - A plugin which will allow you to publish photos, give them descriptions, categories and keywords and it would make thumbnails (deffined size) of the photos with refference to original photos and you could put the gallery on any page, sort/group photos based on your needs, show random photo from the gallery (category, containing_keyword), etc.
Ban - A plugin that allows you to ban ip’s from you ENTIRE site, so also for viewing.

Age - A way to show the older entries first, and have the newer entries on bottom.
New Fields - A way you can add more text fields (e.g. More than just title,
blog, more).

User-stats - Stats that shows how many items a user/
member has written. Perhaps other user related stats?
LastModified - An option to say somewhere in the page when the current page was last modified

MustRead - To add selected articles to a list of “must read” items (only the title, trimmed to x chars)
CatRelated - To show a column of items belonging to the same category of an article which is currently readed in a given page
TopPost - To show the latest article separately from the article’s flow, as a independent post, with body + eventual extended body (cut to a certain amounts of lines)

Wishlist - use
amazon lookup to create a local wishlist for people to see.
Static Pages - Some AdminFrontend to add static pages (like about, info, little extra stuff anyone needs)

Draft preview - Just a preview link that would allow someone to preview a draft prior to putting it “Live”, complete with current template and skin for the blog. I think it would be most ideally placed either in the “Edit item” or in the “Items for blog” admin area.
